We accept the following types of journal articles for peer reviews:

Research articles
(8000 words) report and analyse new research, theory interpretations and scholarly controversy.

Policy Insights
Policy Insights are critical analyses of developments in policy design, policy making and policy implementation.  

Practitioner commentaries
(1500 words) are crisp and focused articles by policy makers on a practical aspect of global policy change.

Responses to articles
(1000 words) are replies to previously published material that contest particular standpoints or pick up on controversial elements of an argument. 

Review Essays keep all readers fully up to date with existing literature in the field.

We accept the following types of online non-journal content:

Global Policy columnsopinion & analysis and Essays are short commentaries, opinion and research based pieces on current issues facing the global policy community. They are written by a diverse range of early career academics and practitioners, and also by occasional contributors. Global policy's Comment page also contains book, play and film reviews.

Global Policy Journal welcomes contributions from early career academics and practitioners, but retains the right to refuse any material that does not fit our editorial remit or publication standards which can be found here.
